Palmtree Removals – Terms & Conditions
1. Quotations
All quotations are based on the information provided by the customer. If additional items, access difficulties, or changes to the agreed service arise, Palmtree Removals reserves the right to amend the quotation accordingly.
2. Booking Confirmation
A booking is only confirmed once accepted by Palmtree Removals. Any required deposit must be paid before the removal date. The remaining balance is due on completion of the move unless otherwise agreed in writing.
3. Customer Responsibilities
The customer agrees to:
* Ensure all items are packed securely unless a packing service has been booked.
* Clearly identify any fragile, valuable or sentimental items.
* Ensure all goods are ready for collection at the agreed time.
* Obtain any necessary parking permits or permissions where required.
* Inform Palmtree Removals of any access restrictions, stairs, lifts, or unusually heavy items before the move.
4. Delays
Whilst every effort is made to arrive and complete the move on time, Palmtree Removals cannot be held responsible for delays caused by traffic, weather, vehicle breakdowns, ferry delays, road closures, or other circumstances beyond our control.
5. Liability
Palmtree Removals will exercise reasonable care when handling your belongings. Liability for loss or damage is limited unless additional insurance has been agreed prior to the move.
Customers should notify us immediately of any damage before the removal team leaves the property wherever possible.
6. Excluded Items
The following items will not be transported unless agreed in advance:
* Cash
* Jewellery
* Watches
* Important documents
* Passports
* Firearms or ammunition
* Explosives
* Hazardous chemicals
* Illegal substances
* Perishable food (unless agreed)
* Pets or livestock
Customers should transport valuable and personal items themselves.
7. Cancellation Policy
* More than 7 days before the move: no cancellation charge.
* Between 48 hours and 7 days: deposit may be retained.
* Less than 48 hours before the move: up to 100% of the agreed charge will be payable.
8. Payment
Payment is accepted by bank transfer, debit card, or cash unless otherwise agreed. Full settlement is to be paid before completion of the job. Late payments will incur additional charges which is £50 per day
9. Claims
Any claims for loss or damage must be made in writing within two days of the removal date.
10. Force Majeure
Palmtree Removals shall not be liable for failure to perform its obligations where this is caused by events outside its reasonable control, including severe weather, industrial action, natural disasters or government restrictions.
11. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.

Damage & Insurance Policy
Palmtree Removals takes every reasonable care when handling customers’ belongings.
Customer Responsibilities
Customers should:
* Pack items securely unless our packing service has been booked.

* Remove cash, jewellery, passports, important documents and sentimental items before the move.
Damage Reporting
Any damage should be reported as soon as possible and, where practical, before our team leaves the property.
Written claims should be submitted within two days of the removal.
Liability
Our liability is limited to damage caused by our negligence during the removal service.
We cannot accept responsibility for:
* Items packed by the customer that become damaged due to inadequate packing.
* Existing damage or defects.
* Electrical or mechanical failure of appliances.
* Damage caused by poor access or circumstances beyond our control.
* Loss of cash, jewellery, documents or other high-value personal items unless previously agreed in writing.
Insurance
Public liability insurance and goods in transit insurance is held by Palmtree Removals.
